The College has accommodation for graduate students across three sites in 2025-26: St Cross Annexe, Rectory Road and Hollybush Row.  

Room Location and Prices

St Cross Annexe is a short distance from the main college site, next to the Law Faculty and close to the Department of Economics and the Science Area. Accommodation here is laid out in clusters of four and five-bed flats, sharing two shower rooms and a kitchen. Standard rooms are approximately 150-160 square feet and there is access to a communal garden, cycle storage and a laundry. For guidance, 2025-26 fees range from £9,595 (band N) for a standard room to £11,038 (band M) for an ensuite room. These prices are for 50-week tenancies and including weekly cleaning.

The Hollybush Row building is located close to the railway station and the Said Business School. It comprises 36 single rooms (Band P) and and 4 Superior Rooms (Band Q, large enough for 2 people). All rooms are ensuite with access to shared kitchens and communal laundry. There are also two self-contained, one bedroom flats which are also suitable for couples. For guidance, standard rooms (Band P) are priced at £9,998, superior rooms (Band Q) £14,996 and £17,492 for the one bedroom flats (Band S).

Students at Hollybush Row are responsible for cleaning their own rooms and commual kitchens.

New for 2025, Brasenose students will be able to live at James Mellon Hall, part of the Rectory Road site (primarily an Oriel College accommodation complex). There are 18 en-suite rooms available for Brasenose students, occupying the whole of the 3rd floor. There are two shared kitchens on the same floor, and a large common room on the ground floor. Secure bike storage and laundry facilties are on-site, and cleaning is provided for these rooms. Residents also have access to the shared gardens. The 4 larger Superior Rooms are £11,550 for the 50-week tenancy (band M), and the standard en-suite rooms are £11,038 (band O).

 

Offer holders will be asked to indicate their preferred site for accommodation and rooms will be allocated throughout May and June. All queries should be directed to the Accommodation Manager

What Will I Need to Bring With Me?

Kitchens are equipped with cookers, microwaves, fridges and freezers. Students should bring their own bedding, towels, cutlery, crockery and cleaning materials. These can be purchased cheaply from large supermarkets and other stores locally. Bedrooms typically contain a bed with mattress, a wardrobe, a set of drawers and a desk. Students shoud bring their own bedding.

Dining

Graduates have the option to self-cater or to eat in the Dining Hall on Brasenose College's main site. 

All meals are optional and students order ahead, and pay-per-item using the UPay app. There is typically a choice of three mains for each lunch and dinner, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options as standard. Top-16 allergens are labelled as standard.
