This website is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standards.
Non accessible content
As content is uploaded, some images may occasionally be uploaded without suitable alt text, while some links may occasionally be added without suitable text or title attributes. These would fail WCAG 2.1 success criteria 1.1.1 and 2.4.4 respectively.
The College will be carrying out regular audits to detect these issues and will be fixing them as they are identified. This will be an ongoing process as new content is updated.
How we tested this website
This website was last tested in January 2021.
The College tested a sample of 26 most-used pages (identified using Google Analytics data from 23-03-2019 to 23-03-2020).
For any elements that fail WCAG 2.1 AA colour contrast requirements, the College has implemented a button which, when activated, changes the colours of the website’s text and background to yellow and black respectively. This button can be found above the website’s navigation and has a title text of “Enable high contrast settings to help with visual impairments”.
Please note that the website will fail certain colour contrast tests unless the high contrast button is activated.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
The College is starting a process to ensure all uploaded documents (e.g. PDFs) on the website are fully navigable by immersive reading. The College will also be conducting periodical accessibility reviews to ensure that the website remains accessible in the future.
