Access to the College Archives
Thank you for your interest in the Brasenose College Archives.
The Archives are open to all researchers who are interested in the history of the college, its members, estates and buildings. Many of the archives can be made available for research, by prior appointment. The Archives Office is situated next door to the Library, at the top of the Old Quad Tower. Please be aware that access is via a steep staircase, so do let us know if you require alternative arrangements.
If you have a research enquiry please email [email protected] and we will endeavour to answer your questions as quickly as possible.
In accordance with the introduction of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018, we have made some important changes to our Privacy Policy. This can be found at https://www.bnc.ox.ac.uk/privacypolicies. Please contact the Archivist on [email protected] if you have any questions.
The College reserves the right to charge for the provision of paper and digital copies of the archives, as well as for the retrieval of large numbers of College records from off-site storage.
