NICHOLAS KURTI JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN THE SCIENCES
Brasenose College invites applications for a Nicholas Kurti Junior Research Fellowship in the Sciences. The Fellowship is open to suitably qualified post-doctoral researchers who are carrying out research in any branch of Science, Mathematics or Engineering in Oxford, either in the University or in an institute associated with the University. The Kurti Fellowships are non-stipendiary but include membership of the Senior Common Room with free meals, and research and hospitality allowances. Fellows are required to have a salaried research post within the University or one of its institutes, with a tenure of at least twelve months from the date of taking up the Fellowship and funding confirmed for this period at the time of application. Fellows are normally no more than seven years since PhD/DPhil, excluding breaks for caring responsibilities. The Fellowship may not be held in conjunction with a Fellowship at another Oxford College. The Fellowship will start on 1st October 2025 and, provided the Fellow continues to hold a salaried research post, will last for three years (non-renewable). The Fellow will be encouraged to make an active contribution to College life, to become a College graduate adviser, and may be requested to assist in the selection of undergraduate and graduate students of the College. A Kurti Fellow may also be invited, but not required, to undertake paid teaching of up to six hours a week for Brasenose, in which case a contract of employment will be offered.
