Brasenose runs the Town & Gown10K Run
Join us for another year of the Town & Gown Run in Oxford - Join the Brasenose team to run together!
Date: Sunday 11 May 2025
Time: 10 am onwards
Venue: University Parks, Oxford, OX1 3RF
What to expect:
-
Brasenose College is participating in the Oxford Town & Gown 10K run, starting from South Parks Road and finishing at the University Parks.
-
£35 per person, remember to join the group 'Brasenose College' on the checkout page.
About the event:
- The Town & Gown is a 10k run (a race for some, run for most!) around the streets of central Oxford. It is a flagship fundraising event for the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK.
- Brasenose has entered large teams in the past and we are hoping to get the BNC team back up and running. Collectively, the College has raised in excess of £10,000 for the excellent cause of Muscular Dystrophy through these team efforts.
- As 10K circuits go, the Oxford T&G is one the very best: it is flat, scenic, and roads are closed to traffic. There are few comparable opportunities to run alongside over 4,000 other people in such a well-organised race.
- We are planning to order Brasenose team running t-shirts and will follow up with more details closer to the date.
- One of the great features of ‘Brasenose runs the Town and Gown’ is participation by all three common rooms and College staff.
